In Asturias, there is a small airport with connections to several Spanish cities and other European destinations, including London, Paris, Amsterdam, Lisbon, Venice, Brussels, Dusseldorf, Milan, Rome, Dublin, Frankfurt, and Munich. This airport is not located in Oviedo, so if you fly to Asturias, you'll need to take a bus (ALSA company) to reach Oviedo. The bus costs 9€ and takes 45 minutes. Another option is to fly to Santander Airport (Seve Ballesteros Santander Airport), about 200 km from Oviedo, or to Madrid (Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport), approximately 450 km away. Both airports have low-cost carriers and direct buses to Oviedo. From Santander, the journey takes 3 hours and 30 minutes, with tickets starting from 14.52€. From Madrid, the trip takes between 5 and 7 hours, and tickets can cost between 30 and 60€.

If you fly to another city in the North, such as La Coruña, Santiago de Compostela, Bilbao, or Vitoria, taking a bus to Oviedo could be an interesting option. These cities do not have a direct connection between the airport and Oviedo, so you will likely need to go to the city center. However, it might be more cost-effective than taking another flight to Asturias.

The Spanish train company is Renfe. It connects the city of Oviedo with some Spanish cities, such as Madrid or León. While it is a bit more expensive than the bus, it is also a more comfortable and faster option for long journeys.
